FAQ

The questions every fleet asks. Answered plainly.

What Certflo does, what it doesn't, how the trial works, and how your data is protected. If your question isn't here, reach out through the app once you're signed up.

01 Does Certflo pull MVRs for me?
Certflo is built around the documents you already have. You upload the MVR and we handle the tracking, expiration alerts, and audit-ready export. Automated pulls from state DMVs are not part of the current product.
02 Does it replace our ELD or hours-of-service tracker?
No. Certflo focuses on compliance documents: Driver Qualification Files, medical cards, MVRs, certificates, and the accident register. Hours-of-service, ELDs, vehicle maintenance, and drug and alcohol testing live in separate tools. Keep your ELD provider; Certflo runs alongside it.
03 How does Certflo handle medical card verification?
For non-CDL drivers, Certflo stores the paper Medical Examiner's Certificate (Form MCSA-5876). For CDL drivers, the National Registry II rule (effective June 23, 2025) made electronic verification authoritative, so Certflo stores the CDLIS MVR showing medical certification status. Certflo does not query the FMCSA National Registry in real time; it auto-generates the 49 CFR 391.51(b)(8) verification note from the details you enter.
04 Is the driver app a real mobile app?
It's a Progressive Web App. Your drivers install it on iPhone or Android from a link, get a real home screen icon, and can open it offline to review their documents. No App Store download required.
05 How does the DQF binder export work?
Every document you upload is indexed against the 10-tab DQF structure Certflo ships with, mapped directly to 49 CFR 391.51: driver application, previous employer verification, CDL copy, road test certificate, medical certification (MEC plus CDLIS MVR for CDL drivers), initial MVR, annual MVR, annual review note, National Registry verification note, and any medical variance or SPE on file. One click builds a tabbed PDF in order, ready for the inspector.
06 What if we operate multiple carriers under one company?
Each carrier gets its own isolated workspace with its own users, drivers, and document library. Nothing bleeds between carriers. You can move between them without mixing records.
07 Does it work for hazmat fleets?
Yes. Hazmat endorsement tracking is a first-class document type alongside the CDL, medical card, MVR, and ELDT certificate. Drivers hauling hazmat get the same expiration alerts and binder placement as every other document.
08 What happens when the free trial ends?
After the 3-day free trial, the first monthly charge runs at $29 per driver with a 5-driver minimum. That is a floor of $145 per month. You can cancel any time from your account billing page and the remaining days of the trial aren't charged.
09 How is my carrier's data protected?
Every carrier's data is isolated from every other carrier. Access is gated by role (branch manager, supervisor, dispatch, or driver) and enforced at the data layer. Documents are encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+ and at rest with AES-256.
